I have purchased a stock 2000 SC 300, V6, Auto, 82K miles. I would like to add more HP without ruining the vehicle or shortening the life of the engine. What mods would you recommed?
If you are asking about mods for more performance, you have come to the wrong place. We generally recommend leaving the engine stock for reliability. Modding can have ripple effects on the rest of the vehicle’s systems, so you really need to go with a shop that understands all that.
Also, a wise mechanic once told me “performance, reliability, and price: pick any two of the three, but you cannot have all three.” So if you want performance and reliability, it will cost you a lot to get there.
What about fuel grade? Regular or Premium?
