I drive a 1993 Acura Legend 4 door sedan with an automatic transmission. My blower motor only works on " HI ". My mechanic says I need a blower motor resistor but when I called the dealer they said it's called a power transistor and is no longer available. Is it possible to use a compatible part from a 1991 - 1996 Honda Accord? If not, how can I fix it?
The rockauto.com database shows a different part for the Accord.
Probably all you can do is look for a good used part from a junkyard (Acura part #79330-SP0-003, aftermarket is Wells WVE 4P1518).
I don't see any resistors doc
@mmj I know what you mean. Some places call them resistors and some call them relays. I'm so confused!
you can use blower resistors from ANY vehicle. Electrically, they will work. You just have to figure out how to hack them in physically and connect the pins the correct way.
