Scan tool

Hello this is just about a good decent price scan tool. I’m just wondering what everyone uses. Now I’m not a complete mechanic and know a whole lot about cars but I would like to have a good scan tool. I put on my wish list on Amazon a Foxwell NT604 elite I was wondering if this is any good. Also I was wondering about a site that you can pull up schematics on cars to see parts and all. If no one knows how well the scan tool is I will do a review whence I get it and test drive it for a few

I don’t have experience with that scan tool but a quick research on my end shows it only scans 4 systems:  engine, transmission, SRS, and ABS.  It doesn’t do a full-system scan, which is a must IMO if you plan to do as much DIY as possible and/or need to get more information about a problem before going to a mechanic.  You also will pay more, at least $100 above the price of this tool.  I have a write up on other scan tools - even if you don’t buy any of those, some of the information can still apply like buying a pricey scan tool only from authorized dealers of the manufacturer (which is not always going to be Amazon or eBay - buyer beware).

Myself - I use a $400 Autel MX808 mentioned in that link.
