Scan Tool Recomendation

Scotty, I'm sick and tired of shops only "fixing" issues that come up, but not really troubleshooting them. So I'm willing to spend up to $2000 on a good scan tool. I have the Blue Driver, but want to get a better unit. I know you've used many, so which one would you recommend for a guy that likes to do his own maintenance?

Unfortunately, we have cars you love to rag on. But, since they're paid off I want to keep them until they die.

2014 Kia Forte EX, 80,000 miles, automatic.

2016 Chevrolet Colorado Z71, 54,000 miles, automatic.

Thanks for your input,

Chris

Check into Autel and Bosch. They each have good tools in that range.

Isn't the Bosch scan tool the one that died in one of Scotty's videos?

I dunno. I haven't watched his vids in a while, but I use Autel exclusively. I know others like the Bosch offerings, so just threw it out there.
