Dear Scotty. I’m planning on purchasing a gen 2 scion xB, preferably one that needs a new engine so I can rebuild it myself. I’m interested in getting the most efficiency from the 2azfe engine that I can as I’m planning on keeping it for a long time. I live in California and I’m not interested in any mods. My question is can I safely raise the compression to get better efficiency? Also, will that engine benefit from balancing and the use of a torque plate to make sure the bores are perfectly straight? Thx in advance
