Suspension and Steering Question for Squarebody Chevy

Hey Scotty, my dad's trucks suspension and steering is a bit messed up and we don't know how it happened or what it is specifically. For the suspension, Whenever he takes his hand off the wheel, either at slow or fast speeds, the truck sharpley starts steering off to the right, and he doesn't remember hitting any curbs. And the steering issue that were not sure is connected to the suspension issue or not, is when you very lightly wobbling the steering wheel, theres some squeaking coming from the botton part of the shaft connected to the steering box. Any ideas on what it could be and or how to diagnose the issue? Thanks.

Please read the heading at the top of the page. "Ask me anything about cars. Please include your car’s Year-Make-Model, mileage, manual or automatic, OBDII codes (if scanned). If buying a used car, specify if from dealership or private party."

You didn't say anything about the model, year, transmission, mileage, etc. Squarebody GM narrows it down to about a decade or two, and Chevrolet made quite a few different trucks in that period.

Thanks.
