Hey Scotty the temperature from my 09 Malibu is not working also I notice that the ac stop blowing cold at the same time

@bmw415
You say the temperature is not working. Does that mean the gauge is not reading or your temperature slider for the climate control isn't working?
Anyways I'm assuming its all ac related and will say that the blend door will probably be stuck in the default defrost position and only blow hot air. I think it has to do with the actual climate control module and blower motor resistor to control where there air is going.

When you say it’s not working, is the temperature gauge stuck at a particular position?

If your engine overheats, one of the first things that will happen, is that your AC will stop blowing cold.

it doesn’t read the temperature it stays like when you turn off the car.

@bmw415
Do you mean in your instrument cluster or your AC climate control?

I meant the temp gauge doesn’t move it stays like if the car was off also I notice that the ac stop blowing cold but the funny part is that it all happened at the same time.

Hopefully it’s just a bad thermostat or temp sensor which is providing bad data.

Is the car physically overheating? Overheat light glowing in the dash, Coolant boiling in the expansion tank, etc?

No everything seems to be okay

Should be an easy fix then.
