Get it checked/inspected by a mechanic before purchase.  Otherwise, low mileage for the age and good price (for my area).

Also, those fords are notorious for transmission issue when getting around 100k. 

I have a 2004 Ford Escape. The have a multitude of problems especially if you live in the rust belt. The shock mounts are in a bad location and almost always rust out. The exhaust manifold studs break. The front lower control arm bushings go bad and then when you go to replace them the welded nut inside the frame breaks. They have rear end problems, front end problems. For $3500 you could drive it for a couple years and then get rid of it before it becomes a money pit.
