Hey Scotty my Jeep Cherokee XJ 2000 is leaking oil in the back wheel is it safe to drive it like that?
No, that's most likely brake fluid...which would be dangerous. Gotta check it to know tho...
Also could be bad axle shaft seals. Have also seen that on XJs where the diff was overfilled due to the back end being jacked up when it was worked on.
also I have a Malibu 09 wh a P0420 & a P0128 can i still drive it or should I have it checked it out also?
420 is ok to drive but you got bad cat. Put a thermostat in get rid of the 128... this could cause it to overheat and cause engine damage.
a friend told me to disconnect the battery & put the cable back on & I notice the the temperature gauge went back to normal is that is the car still in risk?
Almost forgot we the temperature gauge died I notice that the fan started to work wh out stoping once I disconnected the battery & connected the battery it went back to normal
Somewhat yes as what ever caused/causing it will likely happen again (maybe just a bad electrical connection on the sensor but those thermos do go bad and I've replaced quite a few). Keeping an eye on temp, that's the important part as you don't want to overheat it (esp that engine)... but you need a good working sensor to know too so...
Yea, the computer thought it hot and kept the fans on trying to cool it. When temp started working by reseting/clearing ecm/'x'cm's, the gage started working and thus ecm knew the temp and turns fans on according now.
Actually I do have a electric problem one of the Front lights comes & goes same wh the audio I only have 2 speakers working some times the 4 are working.
Yea, check those electrical connections and GROUND straps... with wrench.
I appreciate your help boss.
