Scotty, I have an 01 gmc Yukon, with 250,000 miles on it. Since my last couple of oil changes, the oil change light comes on prematurely, and the low oil light comes on with plenty of oil in it. The part that troubles me is I’m noticing a tacky black buildup on my dipstick and I’m not sure why ? But I believe it’s causing the other issues. Any help or advice is appreciated

Verify your oil pressure with a mechanical gauge.
