I have watched every single one of your videos but i've never heard you talk about the second generation RAV4. The 2.0 1AZ-FE gasoline with manual tranny 🙂
I own one and i am completely in love with it! In my opinion it looks better than 90% of the cars.
Of course, it's made in Japan :))
Oh yeah those are great cars but of course they didn't kind of old now and just realized 95% of Americans drive automatic transmissions

They were common where I live and I disagree - you are lucky they weren't sold there.
I don't have nice things to say about the early Toyota AZ engine.
2nd generation RAV4 is 2000-2005, all of those engines have bad head bolts - It took Toyota until 2006 to figure out this issue (and even then, they still burned tons of oil)

Mine has 160.000km and it burns maximum 0.3 liters every 8000km. It leaked oil before through the valve cover gasket, a job done professionaly by myself xD and now it just burns a tiny amount. I've heard that the 1.8 liters are very well built. I do have some pressure coming out of the oil cap tho. So far i'm pleased with it, having to add that i only paid 2100 euros for it
