Scotty, I need advice on a rusted out body mount where the rear subframe attaches. 1999 Lexus RX300 225K mikes. Car runs good so if a repair is safe and feasible and not crazy expensive, I’d do that. See picture.

Well if you can find a welder would be willing to weld new steel on but most welders don't like messing around with cars unless they're just given the pieces they don't like welding on the car cuz it's dangerous

Hi Woodensoul, I just saw your post from two years ago and am wondering how you made out. I've just run into the same issue with my 2000 RX300 with 287k miles. The car is still great in every way except the frame mounts (both sides) rusting out. Can you tell me what you did or had done to fix it? I'm in Pennsylvania and have the annual car safety inspection that's due this month. Sadly I just found this issue this week when checking everything out for inspection...

Thanks, how unsafe is it to drive in this condition?

@Jagerz FYI, you may not hear back from Woodensoul as their last post here was on 9/28/2021. You can check this by clicking on the username and view the 'activity' heading.

yeah. Woodensoul won't be back. Please make a new post, and be sure to include photos of the rusty spots.

A body shop may be your best bet, however I'm guessing it would be pretty $$$$.

It's a shame, however you may want to just part the car out and look for something else to drive.
