I have a 2019 Nissan Versa with about 30,000 miles on it. Recently, there has been an issue with un-asked-for acceleration.
Today it went to the dealer and it was diagnosed as an intermittent short in a tail-light. They replaced the tail-light and said, "problem solved".
This sounds like a joke but this is what actually happened.
I know that cars are unfathomably connected to their electronics but that just seems ridiculous.
Could this really be a thing?

In a Nissan, I would believe it lol. Probably the computers in the car more than the short itself tbh. If they packed in to the system that Accel is tied with tail lights yeah I can see it lol
