Should I buy new,I plan to keep the car a long time?
What about this flat engine?

Realise that this car is actually a rebadged Subaru BRZ. As Scotty says, they are fun little cars, but there’re certainly no race car.
However, it may still last for quite some time with a manual transmission, if the car was well looked after by the previous owner/s.
Avoid the high mileage ones as they may often suffer from the Subaru trait of engine problems.
But if you buy new, as you said, it should be a keeper.
