Hello scotty big fan.

I Was considering getting a new(used car with very low mileage under 30,000) was looking at a compact SUV, I was leaning towards the rav4 2018 limited( cause the newer ones seem to have transmission issues), but reviews say the mazda CX-5  handles better and to me it aslo looks better and more luxurious, are the Mazda CX-5's reliable looking at a 2019 or 2020 GT( non turbocharged), my other opinion will be the Lexus nx 200t or 300, but they're all turbocharged, being a lexus product, could they last up to 200,000 - 250,000 miles with no major repair expenses, please help. Ps:I don't drive like a maniac.(conservative driver)

Thanks

I would go with the Rav 4 first

Mazda does not last as long and is more a performance ride rather than reliability.

The Lexus would be second choice - only because of the turbo charge.

Both the Toyota RAV4 and Lexus should last many miles (Lexus is the luxury model of Toyota).

The only reason I am choosing the Toyota first is the Turbo Charge - harder on the engine and not

good when they brake.  Both are solid choices.

Thanks . Got it

My money would be on that Toyota or Lexus. Toyota products will easily outlast Mazdas, all else being equal.

However, a 2018 model would still not have depreciated enough for you to save major cash.

If you don’t need the power & luxury from the Lexus, get the Toyota.

Thanks. So with the Toyota outta the race, there's a higher probability of the Lexus being turbocharged will still outlast the Mazda non-turbocharged?
Okay, I did see a rav4 limited 2018 with 26,000 miles for 22,000, and a mazda 2020 gt with 8,000miles for 22 too, the nx was at 29,000 miles for 24,000. Too many good options got me confused.🤣

@inthrustwetrust
Thank you very much.

Out of the Mazda & Lexus, I’d still go with the Lexus because of the legendary reliability of most Lexus products. As said by the other member, Mazdas are more focused towards performance rather than reliability.

@inthrustwetrust
Thanks. My head is clear now.
Mazda almost got me🤣🤣
