Hello from a Russian living in Germany! I only recently got a license and a used car (Peugeot 207cc, 2010, manual, bought it for weekend trips with open roof). When I am parking after driving for a hour or so, and shift gear from first into reverse and start releasing the clutch I hear a strange scraping like sound from the front and the car doesn’t move. When I press down and release again, there is no problem the vehicle goes fine and there is no noice. The car went through a mandatory German check before I bought it, it is supposed to be thorough, and there were no problems with transmission. What could it be?
Well you hear a noise but the car doesn't move so you want to pray it's just the clutch wearing on and it's not engaging. Because if it's not that it would be internal to the transmission and that's super expensive. And those French cars they check things that they'll test. But of course if the clutch is warning it finally wears out. That's inside you can't see that to check unless you have x-ray vision like Superman
