- Scotty,
I have a 2008 Pontiac Vibe with 255k miles on it. It runs well & has cold AC & I live in Florida I want to sell it and need to get as much money as I can get.
A mechanic told me that I’m not going to be able to sell the car because the miles are so high and no one will know that it’s a real Toyota engine.
(1)-What’s your opinion about what the mechanic said? (2)-How do I get as much money as possible for selling it?

You could try places like Carvana or Carmax, though I don't know if they're taking on cars that old with those kind of miles or what they'll pay.
You can look for what similar cars are selling for in your area. That will give you an idea of what your local market is and what to ask for if you sell it privately.
It's a 15-year-old car with over a quarter million miles on it so you have to be realistic. You should be able to find a buyer but you're not going to get top dollar for it.
