Car: 2004 Nissan Sentra 1.8, manual with 190K miles.
This car is running well, no codes, good gas mileage, but OBD shows "Fuel sys 1....OL-Fault", even when warmed up. It will sometimes jump to closed loop for just a second when revving, then back to open loop. Fuel trim looks good. Here are my OBD readings:
Fuel sys 1.....OL-Fault
Load PCT.......29.0
ECT..............94C, 200F
STF..............2.0 - 3.1
LTF...............0.8
RPM.............760
MAF.............2.1 (up to 10 on rev)
IAT..............42
O2, B1S1.....0.30 (is NOT fluctuating at idle, but when revved, it drops to 0.1 then up to 0.8 for an instant.)
02, B1S2.....0.250 at idle (momentarily up to 0.4 on rev)
Here is a link to someone who had the same prob, with same car (except his fuel trim is bad): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vGUur8X-zzg
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!
BTW, love Scotties vid's. Entertaining, funny, and so much knowledge and good tips.
First thing put in the hottest thermostat you can buy.but if that doesn't fix it you have some type of electronic problem that's turning the power off to the system and then it's confused and starts over again and open loop
