Hey Scotty, The '04 Tundra I recently got has an annoying squeaking serpentine belt. Judging by previous service records I got with it, it was replaced around 6ish years ago at 80k miles, and now the truck has 98k, so the belt really only has 18k miles on it. The belt doesn't seem to have any cracks or anything. The sound is heard until the engine has been at operating temperature for several minutes, and the process repeats after the engine has sat and cooled down for several hours. I sprayed some water on the belt, and the sound dissipated for a few seconds then came back, ruling out the tensioner at least. Can replacing the belt cause the noise to go away?
