Hey all,
I'm currently looking at a 2014 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring; automatic transmission; 123,250 miles on the odometer; very good condition (both interior and exterior). Seller, the 2nd owner, is a private party and asking for $10,500 (on the higher end of the KBB value). The car has a clean title. Brake pads, rotors, and tires were just replaced within this last year. I scheduled to take it in for a pre-purchase inspection before I make any final decision.
Specific questions:
- What's a smart and fair price to ask for the car?
- Concerning the mileage, is it worth considering the car, or is it on the last leg of its life and reliability? I'm not very familiar with how much mileage this make and model is expected to have left in it.
Overall, I've heard and read good things about Mazda, but any additional insight would be greatly appreciated from you all here. Thanks!
These are good cars if taken care of. The price is too much specially when you pay cash. Offer him less.

Another thing to consider is that used car prices are up at the moment due to the pandemic. Just keep that in mind... might be why its on the higher end of kbb.
