I have a 09 Chevy Malibu with over 230k runs great drives okay but when I get up to high speeds at around 55 to 65 it starts to have a shimmer in the steering and I can feel it I'm my pedals as well. I recently got my tires balanced, no that wasn't it, did my driver side wheel bearing, made it drive better and more solid steering but nope didn't fix that the shimmer. What could it be? CV axles?

Check the brakes and wheel bearings. It could also be the tie rod ends or a bent axle.
