I just bought a 2001 Toyota Camry with 184000 miles on it. I think they just rebuilt the transmission 20,000 miles ago. It seems to shift okay, it might be a little late shifting though.

It depends on who rebuilt it and how good a job they did. A Toyota factory rebuilt trans should certainly be OK. I've read complaints about mass-market rebuilders like Jasper.

Just baby that car. It is an old car with high mileage. I would not push it hard if you do not want unexpected reapirs.
