Hi Scotty im interested in trading in my car for a used 2021 Mazda cx-5 grand touring for 50,000 miles on it at a ford dealership and I was wondering if this is a good idea or not.
I would stay away from it. You have 2 engine options none of which are good: one is a naturally aspirated engine with cylinder deactivation (which is best to avoid if you plan to keep the vehicle past the warranty period and/or for a long time) and the other is a turbocharged engine and some experience oil burning.
@daywalker so is your opinion to not get the car because of the engine or because it burns oil or ...
I would not get the vehicle period due to the engine options and the potential for issues with either one. The 2.5L naturally aspirated engine is actually a good engine BEFORE they added cylinder deactivation.
He is saying neither of the two engines that car may have are good options.
@daywalker It has a 4 cylinder engine is that not good
