I’m looking at a 2013 Subaru Outback 6 speed manual with the original body and transmission. It has 146k. However the engine was replaced with a 2016 forester engine (80k). So it shouldn’t have consumption issues. It’s listed at $9.9k and the clutch was replaced as well as the brake rotors and pads.I checked the carfax on both the engine and the vehicle and they seem to have been taken care of regularly. The shop is known to be a “Subaru” specialist in town. Also they offer a 30 days/unlimited mileage warranty on the transmission and engine. Do you think I should pull the trigger? Or should I get more info first, if so what info do I need to know?

Why? Original engine go? Why did they take the engine out of the forester, was it wrecked? Is it the FB25 (2.5L)?
