2001 Ford crown Victoria $1,500 178,000 miles from private party. Ground wire from the battery to the side of the car burnt out. Won’t crank due 2 ground wire burnt out

I would not buy any car that cannot be started and test driven.

What happens if you put on a new battery to ground cable?? Why is the old one "burnt"?
