Here's the listing:

195k miles, automatic, clean title

Issues are cracked windshield, driver's window off tracks, and kind of loose front and back bumpers (see pictures)

Priced at 2200 I offered 1500, they said yes. Is it worth it?

@alexmetz
no, it has way too much miles for you to even consider doing an oil change, its probably past due. i would only consider it if i knew the person directly my whole life and maybe from a neighbor you know that has kept maintenance up to date. 1,500 is nothing, but add repairs, it all adds up and it will add up because everything needs to be UP TO DATE, meaning. oil change has been done every 3,000 miles. you probably already need new struts suspension right away or youll kill yourself in the road. brand new tires are needed asap. if you drive more than 5 miles a day i highly dont reccomend driving that car. if its clean title that doesnt mean much, it only means a clean title. what counts is 1 owner had that vehicle. if the car has been had more than 1 owner? chances are it was never really taken care of properly, sometimes you dont know that because car gets sold and nobody cares getting the car title because its too much money for them.sometimes cars are transferred from one state to another because of known issue, so each new owner fixes something new . its too old and i could write endless theories on where that car has been for 17 years? yeah that car has been in many places and its not 195,000 original miles, it has had many many repairs already. how do i know all this? scotty has a youtube video where he uses a very advance expensive obd scanner and you will be surprise how much data it actually tells you, its so much data that youll never understand or finish explaning because the car history is to loooong. you can not expect it to last longer than 20-25 years only if it was really taken care of, but thats very rare. so what you want is a car that will no kill you in the road, a car that will not randomly stop in the middle of nowhere all because you never got codes and it was running OK, that can cost you youre life. not to mention those oil seals are probably very very old and you will start to get some serious leaks. however if you decided to buy it DONT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID, i had a 2000 year old chevy cavalier 4 door, it was running without 1 issue, but, the moment i took it for an 18 hour drive......................................$$$$ i drove out of state in a very very long drive. all the problems showed up all of the sudden, yet i wouldve never known by driving stop and go like you do in the city. i wouldnt consider buying a 2003 just because its going to be hard to really bring it back to life they way it suppose to drive. chances are you wont even do anything because you just want a car to drive short trips. soon itll be 200,000 miles and you have to probably a new valve clearance repair, and probably buy a new fuel pump, a new battery, a new alternator. if you wait until the last moment itll will mess you up

Well, $1500 doesn't buy much in a car these days unless you get really lucky. I'd still give it a good going-over to make sure you're not going to be hit with thousands in repairs right off the bat. Are the bumpers loose due to an accident? (Maybe junkyard pieces were installed and the attaching points are messed up?) Does it have a salvage title?

But if the car is basically sound and just needs minor repairs to make it roadworthy, sounds like a decent deal.
