Should I buy a 2008 Chrysler Sebring convertible?

I am able to purchase a 2008 Chrysler Sebring with convertible Touring @ 55K miles for $4600 from a private party.   Seems to be in good shape but has some occasional shimming when driving.  In addition,  I am concerned with the 2.7L V6 engine and the oil sludge issues I've been reading out. Have yet to check out the car in person so seeking assistance on specific issues to look for based on this car's sorted history.   Thanks

Why don't you get a Solara ?

Save yourself the trouble & look for a good Camry Solara/Accord instead.

I would pass on it, esp. if it’s going to be primary vehicle and you are hoping to put lots of mileage on it.  2008 had engine and electrical issues as the most reported issues. For more detail see here:

As Scotty would say "It is a rolling pile of junk."  Chrysler vehicles are a quality disaster.

Forget it, those are rolling piles of garage.

My Mom had one.

Scotty sums up that car perfectly: "Stay away if you value your money."
