Hi all, I have been looking to buy my first car and I found this 2011 Honda Civic EX, automatic transmission, 140k on the odometer, Clean Title, Clean Carfax. It scored 90 on the AutoCheck. The price is about ~$8,000. Would this be a good buy?
My purpose of the car would be daily drive for about 50mi/day. I need it to commute to school and all I want is a safe and reliable vehicle. I found 2011 Honda Civic to fit this category.
I offered $6,500 to the seller with the KBB value but he said KBB values is inaccurate and he is unwilling to negotiate.

Have it checked by a trusted mechanic.
Given that the mechanic says the car is good, do you think the price is appropriate?
It depends where you live.
