There’s a 96 camry LE for sale with only 24,000 miles at a Chevy dealer. they want $8,500. Would I be dumb to buy it? I be more interested at 6k.

That's a crack-pipe price for a 25-year-old Toyota even if that mileage is true. They're called "stealerships" for a reason.

No. 24k miles in a 24 year old car is only an average of 1k miles driven a year. Most people drive 8k - 12k a year. Driving that little is not good for the car.

Also they are asking $8.5k for a 24 year old car that isn't exactly rare or special in any way. That is a rip off in my opinion.

It's still 14 years old.  Certainly not good if you live in the rust belt.

Yes, but you buy a new car... for example a Chevy youll there’s a chance of you pouring more money into that thing than this. This car has been tried and true for lasting.
