Hi. I’m replacing the water pump on my 2005 Honda Accord EX, manual transmission, 4-cylinder. Should I replace the timing chain while I'm at it, or is that unnecessary? Thanks!
Mileage?

If it’s a timing belt, it’s a good idea to replace the timing belt and balancing belt while you are down there.
If it’s a chain, I don’t think it is necessary. As far as I know, most can go the life of the engine.
You’re lucky if it’s a timing chain! The previous generation was a timing belt.

Nope. You don't need to touch chains.
Just what I wanted to hear! Thanks so much for the quick response.
