Hello, I just bought a Ford Ranger XLT with only 60,000 miles on it. It's an automatic transmission. Private party sale. I was wondering is it time to replace the transmission fluid? Should I replace it all or just half? What other routine maintenance tips do you have? Thank you for reading and thanks for the help!

If you can absolutely positively proof that's the real mileage change the filter and fluid

It is definitely the correct mileage, it came from a local University as a maintenance truck. Should I change ALL of the fluid? Thanks again Scotty!

Yes for sure. Did you watch scootys vidoes about changing tranny fluild? also how much did you buy it for.

I did but I didn't know if 60,000 miles was too far along to change the fluid. I bought it for $2000 which is good considering a one in my area that has 54,000 miles is going for $12,500.

LOL what a steal. go ahead and change it dont flush it yet.

the other ranger for 12,500. is harsh for a decade old truck People are trying to squeese 24,000 dollers out of a used 2007 Chevy avalance. inflation ....
