My old lease is coming to an end (2021 Mazda CX-5 Carbon Edition Turbo FWD) and I need to make a decision on my next car. The CX-5 is getting a little on the small side but should be manageable. The CX-90 will give us plenty of room and drives nice. I am considering the CX-90 Turbo S Premium (not the PHEV). I know Turbo is not a good idea but all the non-PHEV come with a Turbo. Is this a good idea? Or should I just pay the residual and buy my current CX-5?
Man o man. This is a brand spanking new car, on a brand spanking new platform, on a brand spanking new engine.
If you trust Mazda, go for it. But it is a calculated risk. This is their first ever, TMK, inline 6. It could be great. It could be a bomb. But no one really knows.
Besides the turbo, my only concern is the direct injection. But most cars these days are coming with a turbo and direct injection, but I have a little more faith in Mazda.
