Should I get an old Z?

I'm looking at a 1987 Nissan 300zx. It has a v6 with about 125k miles, and a 5 speed manual transmission. The AC, speedometer, and the E brake don't work, but everything else is in good shape. I'm not worried about fixing the E brake on my own, and I have a good mechanic to do the AC. It has a digital dashboard and I don't know how expensive a fix it would be. The seller wants 4k for it. I've always wanted a Z but I'm on a budget. Do you think it would be a good idea to get it and use it as a daily driver?

Probably not a really hot move to use it as a daily driver. Maybe as a fun side car that you can fix up sometimes. I'm not too familiar with that particular vehicle, but I know Nissans where a lot better made back then. Renault really destroyed them. I'm sure aftermarket parts are pretty cheap for that thing too.

It has relatively low mileage but you should be more concerned about the plastics and rubber parts. On the other hand, it seems that the previous owner did not take care of the car that much and this can be a red flag. With that said, I don't think you can use it as a daily driver, maybe just a weekend toy.
