Hello. My son has a base model 2011 Nissan Sentra. We bought it in the summer about 3 yrs ago, but when cold weather hit (Jan with 20° mornings) the car refused to start. The battery was promptly replaced... nothing. The terminals cleaned well... nothing. The car starts when jumped by another vehicle. Took it to a local mechanic who said it was timing related, who fixed that, but with no cold starting improvement. Found a recall related to battery cables, so let Nissan switch those... no improvement. So now the cold is upon us again and having the same problem.

Does the car fail to crank, or does it crank and not fire up? See the troubleshooting section of the site FAQ.
