2009 Ford Taurus SEL. 120k miles. Kinda a follow up of a question I asked recently (link below). I just had a used transmission (80k miles with a 1 year guarantee) installed by AAMCO as they were recommended to me and I didn’t know any other transmission shops near me, but being a franchise, their quality may be questionable. I have since been recommended an independent transmission shop. I’m deciding whether I should spend extra money to go to that independent shop to see if AAMCO did a good job. Or maybe I should wait until my 1 year warranty is almost up? Or maybe both?
