Is it bad to have mismatched wheels even if they are the same size?

I have a bent rim on my 2009 Ford Taurus FWD. If I get an aftermarket wheel of the same size (aside from the fact that it’ll look funny) how much would it affect the handling of the car? Or should I either find an OEM wheel or replace two wheels? Also anyone know any good online used wheel dealers?

If the replacement wheel is the same size - and that of course means more than diameter, width, lug spacing, and offset need to be the same - it should not be a problem.

Junkyards would be your best bet for finding a used wheel.

@chucktobias I think what I meant was if it has a different number of spokes or a different spoke design, or if you have a steelie on one side and alloy wheels on the other then the weight could be different and it would offset the balance of the car right? But also donut spares are obviously going to be different weight and they drive ok so can’t be too bad right? But also, a spare is supposed to be for temporary use and not long term so idk

just buy a pair and avoid all future problems. I don't know who sells used singles anyway.
