Should I not buy a 2018 Toyota RAV4 just because of the weird oil filter canister? I really would rather the Toyota over Honda. I know they are both great cars, but all people I know who have Toyota’s run them to the ground only after several 100k miles

There are screw on filter adapters that you could get for them

The 2018 RAV4 is an excellent crossover that would indeed last a long time. If it passes a mechanical inspection go ahead and buy it.
