Hi Kilmer,
I have a 2005 mazda6 2.3 liter 4 cylinder with just over 170 000 miles on. The issue here is practically all the spark plugs are seized/difficult to extract. What is the reality of my situation? Can the engine be saved? Ran fine about a month ago but there isn't nearly as much power to it nowadays; it belches when I start it.

Lots of reasons that the spark plugs seized up. You should try to remove them without damaging the treads. This link might help:
