I was looking at installing some godspeed lowering springs on my 2016 Honda Civic LX 2DR and I was curious if putting lowering springs on a stock strut and shock setup would ruin anything? All I want is a couple inches of ride height difference without spending a ton of money on coilovers. Thanks!

Changing springs will throw your car geometry all out of whack and cause wear on all kinds of parts to be accelerated.

My suggestion is to either do it right with coil overs and everything, or don't do it at all.

i have seen so many half arsed attempts to do things to save $$$$ only costing more in long term due to not doing it right first. old saying goes do it once do it right.

Exactly.
