Should I sell my 2018 Honda Civic?

Hi Scotty,

I have a 2018 Honda Civic EX-T. It has automatic transmission, 4 cylinder 1.5L Turbo, leather interior, decent dashboard, rear camera and right mirror camera, and has just under 100K miles, no accidents (knock on wood)🪵, great mileage around 36mpg.

Let me start with, I absolutely love my car. It has run smoothly since I’ve bought it, no problems with steering, transmission, engine, etc. only 2 things have happened to the car and they are very small. The under engine splash shield peeled back like a banana one day and I noticed scraping sounds. Got it taken off and the dealer told me they would let me know when the part came in. (That was 2 years ago and they never got back to me). Last year the AC went out. Apparently 2018 Honda civic’s have a thing with bad AC compressors, and they replaced it for free as they gave that part a very long extended warranty. I feel like I’m at a point in the cars life where I need to sell it before BIG money items give out. Is that the case with 2018 Honda Civics?! I can get anywhere from $13k-$16k if I sell. It’s crazy that I bought it new for $25k and the value isn’t crap like we used to say, definitely lucky timing.

I still need a larger vehicle. Perhaps I just have 2, I need something that can help me while I rebuild my duplex. Double Insurance payments are about the only thing that scares me outside of the civic needing repairs at any given moment given it’s near 100k miles.

barely broken in. If you love it, then baby it and keep it longer. Make sure you keep up on maintenance especially transmission. And turbo engines need extra care too.

@imperator will do Mr mountain man. Any tips for maintaining the transmission?
