Hello I have a 1998 Toyota Sienna with 256000kms. I bought it used 8 years ago for $1500 and 180000kms thinking it would last me about 2-3 years. I however stopped driving it this past year due to losing my job because of the pandemic and now the engine light is on, it needs an alignment and the ac and power windows need to be fixed as well. I’m currently driving my 2003 Honda CR-V 190000kms which I bought brand new from the dealer and now the engine light is on due to the compressor leaking and a few other manufacturer related issues. Should I sell both these vehicles and buy a newer sienna or is it worth fixing the issues and keeping both.
- scan the engine light so at least you know what it is (costs you nothing but a bit of time)
- alignment is cheap
- power windows on a '98 should be fairly primitive and easy to fix
I don't think you'll get much $$$ for the Sienna, but if you don't drive it then sell it.
I would say get the important stuff scanned and fixed and then sell it, but ur not gonna get much for a 98 sienna or an 03 CR-V, so keep that in mind. If you can't sell them, just drive both of them till the wheels fall off.
If you are going to sell it, I hope you fix it first and not just push it off on some unsuspecting person.
