Hey Scotty! Love your YouTube channel. I'm looking at a 2006 mercury grand marquis. It has 38k miles. Ls with air suspension. Should I worry about the suspension or anything else? They are asking 9k. Very clean though. What do you think? Thanks!

Hey,
I have an 07 Marquis GS with 76K. Purchased it three years ago with 43K for $7500. Car has ran very well for me. With regard to the air suspension, it depends on the condition of the air pumps that raise it up and down. If it needs replaced, they have reasonably priced conversion kits to regular shocks. It very well could have 38 K as many were owned by old folk quickly dying off. Do you have a Carfax or can the owner show you records to verify? Maybe a dealership if the car is local? My concern would be how much it has been driven over those years. I would have a professional mechanic check it out for sure. I had an LS model before with the digital temp control where the blower motor actuator zonked out. Part is $50. Labor is so much more as you have to remove the entire dashboard to the firewall to replace it. Otherwise, parts are plentiful and reasonable in cost. If you can verify the mileage and it checks out mechanically as well as the body and frame is accident free and major rust free on the frame, $9000 is not unwarranted as you're seeing fewer and fewer on the road. I would think if you could get it closer to 7K, it would be a better deal.

@Joeo can you copy and paste your answer into the “Your Answer” section down below? Thank you.
