Should my power steering suction hose connector come with an o-ring??

Hello to all,

I have a 2008 Honda Civic EX, 135k miles. I recently changed the pump due to a strange noise coming from it + leaking. Now I had changed all the rubber hoses but the suction hose connector seems to be leaking really badly. I had tightened the bolt to spec, by the way. Now, it may be a no brainer, but should the o-ring be on the connector or would the o-ring be in the hole where it connects to? I might take the pump out to have a look but I'd rather see what you guys say before taking everything apart again.

Thanks for your time. Below, I have some pictures for context.

see if you can find an exploded parts diagram here: https://nemigaparts.com/cat_spares/cross/honda/

Hey Joe, apparently the O-ring went on the connector itself. Bought the o-ring and installed the part and no leaks! Now my car runs like a dream again. Thanks for the help
