2017 Siverado 1500 4wd. 71,000 mi. I was 200 miles from home when my dash gauges started twirling around and I was getting warning lights flashing and check engine light came on. Trans was dragging in low gear but smoothed out on high gear, gauges settled down but check engine light remained on. I called Onstar, they scanned it from the satellite and said it was OK to limp home. After an Autozone free scan it pointed to the TCM. Online I found out how to reset the TCM by turning the key to the on position and depressing the gas pedal etc. Check engine light went off and everything has been fine. My question is why did this happen and will it happen again. {black}:idontknow:
great question 😆
At least your Chevy TCM didn't fail completely at 50k like mine.
