Hey Scotty,
I've got a 2011 Honda civic lx 1.8 with 138k miles, I had a progressive Snapshot in the car for years but have changed insurance companies. The problem is the car won't start if I unplug the snapshot thing. Is there a fix for this?
Thanks so much!
Those insurance dongles are low quality, poorly designed devices and can damage automotive electrical systems. To begin with the OBD2 port is designed for occasional diagnostic use, not having a random gadget connected to it continuously. You'll likely need a professional-grade bidirectional scan tool for diagnosis.
Please provide as much detail as possible. What happens when you try to start?
Engine turns over but won't start almost like it was out of gas, but after plugging the do-dad back in it starts right up
