Is it worth it? I took my injectors out on my Scion xb 2006 with 175k miles and tried cleaning then with carb cleaner but the spray pattern didn’t improve on all 4 injectors. Or should i just buy new ones? A place with good reviews Sonic cleans the injectors and puts new filter screens and o-rings.
What's the price difference between getting new ones vs the sonic cleaning service? If it's a significant savings then certainly worth a try.
It’s about $20 per injector vs $70+ for each oem injector new.
$80 vs $280+ not bad.
I sent them out for cleaning, will update on results.
Thanks - so often, we never hear what worked or didn't work on these forums. If it does work, let us know the name of the place.
Got the injectors back yesterday. Car definitely feels peppier and not bogged down like it did before the injector cleaning. Company also sent me detailed report and it seems my spray pattern was off. They installed new o rings pintles and filters for $20 each injector plus $10 shipping. I would recommend this company it’s in Los Angeles, motor west performance.
That's super...Glad it worked and ya saved $200
With that mileage I'd just replace them.
