Sorry, it's a GM question...

Scotty,

Against your wise words, I bought a GM...

A 2011 Silverado LT with the 5.3L Vortec with the 6 speed automatic.

It has 155k, no check engine lights, but does have a service airbag light.  But I don't care much about that one.

Engine runs good, but rumbles with a shake at idle.  Subtle and occurrs every 4 or so seconds.  Occurrs in idle-drive AND idle-park.

Truck shifts real hard in low gears, down and up shift.  Gives you a real bang.  Doesn't seem to be slipping.  Does great as a whole on the highway. No transmission codes, pending or current.

-Fuel pressure is 42-44 PSI at idle.

-At idle, Throttle Position Sensor reads 14% throttle.

-New spark plugs.

-Lucas oil fuel system cleaner, no results.

Army vet, and Scotty Kilmer Youtube-Channel Vet... so you would think I would have made a better decision!

Anyways,

I'm stumpted.  S O S !

-Mike, New Hampshire

Fuel pressure sounds low to me.

Hy!

Do you still like it? If not, sell it and get something more reliable.

Good luck!
