Hello!
my 2014 honda crv has fluctuations in the spark advance anywhere from 6.5 to 9.1 during idle and jumps around when revved to around 13.7% throttle it can go as high as 43.9. also the Short Term fuel trim is 9.4 percent at idle but when reved the fuel trim goes to 7.3. the long term fuel trim is 9.4 with drops to 8.4. the car has been in a front end wreck (owned since new) and from a visual inspection I made they didn't seem to do that hot of a job when it come to cleaning up. what will I need to do to fix it myself.
Thanks a bunch for your help guys!
1st locate and fix the vacuum leak(s). That combined STFT & LTFT at its best is still almost positive 16%. That's too high.
Mileage?
85k miles
hey guys something I forgot to mention that im looking back thinking on what might be the culprit i had po102 for a low voltage maf sensor a month ago and the code went away on it own and i disregarded. looking at the current maf data it says its at 2.12 g/s at 757 rpm and 17.93 g/s at 3343 rpm but voltage is frighteningly low at about .78 volts.
The spark advance fluctuation is usually caused by a stretched timing chain but I find it unlikely at the mileage you gave us. Are you sure it's not 185,000 miles?
