Hello Scotty, What is a good standalone GPS Dashboard system? I am going on a 4 Hour Rd trip and I don't want to use my cell phone GPS. Please answer as soon as possible.
Best GPS system I ever used was 2 dimensional and called a MAP.
Garmin, TomTom, etc.
Nobody buys these anymore though since they've been surpassed by smartphones.
If nobody bought standalone GPSs they would not be on the market - but they are. There are people out here who do not have, and do not want, a smartphone.
I do not have or want a smart phone. I actually prefer talking to people. @chucktobias
Alright ... not nobody .... hardly anybody.
They're still on the market because all the development and tooling is already done so it only costs a few dollars to make. But they will disappear. Especially with cars having built in nav.
