I was wondering if it’s bad to start my miata with 115,000 mi in gear. What I do is I put my foot on the clutch turn on the car then drive off with foot still on the clutch and once I get to the bite point that is the first time I come off the clutch. When doing so, I don’t hear any grinding noises I don’t hear anything but the engine reving. Thanks for all the responses!

As long as your clutch is working that's fine. The engine is not physically connected to the transmission. If you have the clutch pushed down so starting it then doesn't hurt anything
